Julius Rosenwald, a philanthropist and businessman, in partnership with Booker T. Washington, helped to build over 5,000 African American Schools in the American South between 1912-1932. By 1928, one-third of the South’s rural black school children and teachers were served by Rosenwald Schools. Learn More
